So already in 1929, Pag had its own tourist prospectus, and right at the beginning of the 20th century, a hotel was opened in Zvonimirova Street. Today, the city’s tourist offer is much larger and richer. From numerous hotels, private accommodation, spearfishing, boat trips within the Pag Bay, night bars to various cultural events that are offered to visitors during the summer. The Pag Cultural Summer, the Pag Summer Festival, dance evenings organized on the Riva. Fishermen’s Evenings, Adriatic Meetings and many other interesting events should be mentioned here.

Tourism in the city of Novalja

The city of Novalja is famous as the richest Croatian city. Novalja has the largest budget per capita in Croatia. In Novalja, there are three times more residential buildings than people. Most of them are apartments used for private accommodation of tourists. The city of Novalja leads the way in terms of the number of guests and overnight stays on the island of Pag. Overnight stays are mostly in private accommodation, in rooms and apartments that provide all comfort to guests.
And all of this is mainly because of Zrće beach, where the fun never stops.

Near Novalja is Zrće, a long pebble beach, which was nicknamed the Croatian Ibiza, after four discotheques were built on it. It is the main tourist attraction of the city and its surroundings. Both the city of Novalja and the city of Pag each have more than a million overnight stays per year. Statistical data for the year 2021 show that the island of Pag had 2,502,000 overnight stays.

There are many tourist facilities, mostly apartments in private family ownership. Hotels and camps are represented with a smaller capacity. From year to year, tourist capacities increase and the number of beds available to tourists grows.
